The pure weirdness and the dissonance are what originally drew me to Danny Playamaqui's music. It always makes me grin to hear it, because I can imagine how strange it must sound to other people.
You might describe it as "alien-music." But if you can get past that knee-jerk reaction, you can enjoy this style on a purely sensory level. You just have to relax enough. sour-cream-pringles
A straight-forward display of some incredibly intricate and absolutely insane sound design... with plenty of acid!
There's really not much else to be said. Just a solid and very well-produced assortment of IDM mastery!

"479" is a band formed by the owl Potoo (bass), the fox Valentino Arco (synth), a guy named Hall (noise and sweets) and this album's star Rogelia - a pink-haired girl on drums. You don't believe it? Well, me too, but legend has it. Call it "479", son of "thebeachmachine", Danny Playamaqui, Danny Perez, or whatever you want... it's excellent stuff - some of the most exciting electronica avantgarde on the planet. Sven B.
